The ceremony space shapes the photographs

An indoor chapel ceremony and an outdoor ceremony give you different backgrounds and different light. On a tour, look from the place where you'll stand, then turn around and look toward your guests. Those are two of the views that will appear throughout the ceremony photographs.

Ask the venue to show you how each space would be arranged for your guest count. I'd want to know about aisle space and any limits on where a photographer can stand before the day begins. That lets me plan for your entrance and vows without moving around more than necessary.

Choose an indoor plan you would be happy to use

Because The Grand 721 lists both indoor and outdoor options, you can discuss the weather plan while choosing the ceremony space. Ask which rooms remain available for portraits once the reception is set up. An empty room on a tour may be doing a different job on the wedding day.

If you'd like outdoor couple portraits, we can leave a short opening for them and decide when to use it. The rest of the photography schedule should still work if that opening needs to move. It helps to choose indoor family-photo arrangements before anyone has to make a quick decision.

Keep the reception photographs connected to the people

For a ballroom reception, I'd plan a photograph of the finished room before guests enter, then concentrate on the arrivals, toasts, and dancing. Knowing where speeches will happen helps me find an angle that includes both the speaker and your reactions.

If your schedule includes a room reveal or a private last dance, tell me while we're planning coverage. Those moments need an opening in the timeline. You can also keep things simpler and spend that time with your guests; the photographs can follow the celebration you actually want.
